31DC2013: Day 8, metallic nails

Sunday, September 8, 2013
Today nails are very simple actually. The thing is- I have only 2 real metallic polishes! Shame on me!

I did a simple gradient and that's it. I was planing on doing skittle nails, and adding different patterns using the blue polish, but decided to keep things simple.

The colors I used are Chic diamonds and Chic peacock.

31DC2013: Day 7, black and white nails

Saturday, September 7, 2013
Day 7 has arrived, and it's the last scheduled post!
Honest truth? It's the first one I wrote. So if I seem to not knowing what I'm doing- give me a little break, would you?

For this design I though about going with the design you see on my ring finger. In my mind it seemed that the glitter will somehow soften the look of the dark gray i choose. I ended up doing something completely different for the rest of my nails. I took a half-stiff brush and dipped it in a small amount of white nail polish, I than started from the base of my nail, and did this some sort of zig zag scribble.

My base color is p2 glory, my first try glitter is OPI piroette my whisle, and the white is Chic white flag.

31DC2013: Day 6, purple nails

Friday, September 6, 2013
Day 6, the week is almost over!
As I said in day 3, I don't like this design. At all. It turned out so much different then what I thought it will look like, and I ended up hating them, mostly for causing me to remove the yellow nail art :/

After the preparation to the orange nail art, I re-discovered my true love to the nude shade I own. It's just the perfect color for my skin tone! So after that I decided to go with yet another nude-based nail art.
This manicure is made using only dotting tool, and so at least I didn't put to much effort into it.
The base color is my re-newed love- Chic sand. The purple is Life 337.

31DC2013: Day 5, blue nails

Thursday, September 5, 2013
Wow... Blue is a color I have plenty of polishes from, since you always want that specific shade of blue, don't you? It's a color that will never be exactly what you want. So you see, I had to stare at my nail polish drawer for a long while till I decided on what to do.

This idea came to mind after I went to buy my self some wanted studs. I looked for some ziplock bags to put the studs in, and found a little one with two of this stud-alike in it. The thing is, those are not real studs. It's actually that decoration there is on the side of the sunglasses. We got a kids pair for free so i played around with it, and kept those. Good thing I did so, huh?

My base color is Laline Kahal Galena. On top of that I used striping tape to create lines of Chic Peacock. Than I added the stud-alikes using a clear polish.

You can see that this stud-alikes are way thicker than standart studs. Re-thinking it, i should have chosen a diffrent base color, so the stipe will show off better. Oh well, next time then.
